I find snowy landscapes particularly difficult to paint. Seok, yours is excellent as always!

Gorgeous painting Soek you have positioned these trees so perfectly, and each tree has been painted beautifully, thank you so much for your super comment on my first watercolour in years, the black boy

Love the way you handle your greens Seok!

you have a style of your own - I certainly couldn't emulate it and it is at it's best here.

Lovely trees and interpretation of snow, reminds me of Christmas.

Thanks for your tip on greens Seok, you've certainly mastered them especially in this delightful scene. What a super Christmas card this would make.

How beautiful Seok! Perfect fir trees and your snow is so good. How do you get the white on the branches with watercolour? You must have a special technique for it! Super work!

Love the hazy, cold background trees and the warmer tones in the foreground Seok. Very peaceful scene.

I have only painted fir trees once and found them fiendishly difficult - mine looked like odd Christmas trees! Yours, Seok, are perfect and look so real. This is a lovely scene, beautifully painted. I do like your choice of palette to depict the snow - some nice surprising warmth of tone which works very well.

Some summer. I agree with all of the above. That is a beautiful painting.

Beautiful work Seok, jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. Lovely control on the foreground foliage.

Nothing more to add, its beautiful

Lovely work Seok, good feeling of depth with the misty blue background trees and the well painted foreground ones, with the path as a lead in.

Stunning again. Your gallery is so good.

Thank you very much, everyone! Satu, in answer to your question, I use negative painting for the white bits on the branches. I roll my loaded brush sideways on Arches Cold Pressed paper. The texture on the paper absorbs the paint unevenly, leaving the white bits, which are reserved as snow. For the two snow-laden trees in the foreground, I painted round the branches.

Beautiful but not yet I hope excellent watercolour as always Seok.

Thank you very much, Carole!

A very pretty scene seok! I also like the mauve background, the winding path and the lace effect of the snow on the trees :)

I was in Wyoming, USA for an art workshop a few years ago. In the space of three weeks, we experienced all four seasons. I came across this scene as I was driving near Jackson Hole. It was really pretty, but it's not something I wish on anyone living in temperate climes in the summer!
