Only one word---- BRILL, ----- you are pushing on with your greens gel --Wonderful

Thanks very much, Charles! Notice I am getting very clever at dealing with greens - I just don't use them! All blues! LOL!

Good painting of the rough grass and path Seok and I also like how you've faded out the fir trees, gives the feelng of distance.

Beautiful painting Seok , perfect greens for these type of trees.

Another great painting and agree with all that has been said above - no one has mentiond the shadows on the path which, although only a small datail, help to make the picture complete. It reminds me of so many places: the Rockies, Spanish Sierra Nevada, Alps, Dolomites, even Troodos mountains in Cyprus where I have an aptmt - so I really feel as if I really know this place even though I don't ..... Great stuff

Lovely depth and atmosphere in this painting.

I can almost feel the fresh air at that altitude. The misty recession of the trees is beautiful too.

Delightful, Seok, and such clever use of blues! The colours work so well together it's a very calm scene - and thanks for the information about this beautiful spot.

I am now much better educated due to your wonderful travel paintings, Seok, so thank you for that!! Lovely painting of a simple scene, but one with so much interest. Super trees rocks and a feeling of being high up in the mountains. Great work. ( P.S. Michael, I spent every holiday for 5 years as a child in the Troodos mountains at a place called Mount Olympus Camp, as I lived in Cyprus then. You are right - this painting is very reminiscent of the area.)

Nice one Seok, my wife will go dizzy just looking at this!

They have already said it all Seok but let me just say how perfect the shapes of the fir trees are. They are so difficult to paint correctly and you have done it. Excellent!

I love your recessional greensand the way you have portrayed the light against the darks.

Another good piece of work Seok, I agree with Thea, your comments really add to the image.

Beautiful painting Seok, I agree with all the above comments

A lovely atmospheric piece....

Like Satu it was how right the shapes of the fir trees look that first struck me about this painting. Full of atmosphere, you've managed to transport us to Mashobra with this wonderful watercolour.

Thank you so very much, everyone, for your very kind comments!

Beautiful description and beautiful painting.

Your watercolours are always a delight to look at...wish I had your confidence, but I know I'll only improve with practice. Love all your recent postings.

Thank you so very much, Stephen! I assure you it's not so much confidence, but what in the Americans would call chutzpah, namely the gall to attempt things beyond my ability! And I think you've made an awful lot of progress with what you've already posted.

(Situated at 7.041 ft above sea level, surrounded by the Himalayas, Mashobra is a town in the Simla District of Himachal Pradesh in India. During the time of the British Raj, the Viceroys, Lords Kitchener and Ripon, had their summer retreat up in Mashobra. In 1948, prior to his return to England after his term as viceroy, Lord Mountbatten and his wife spent a few weeks in this retreat, and were visited there by the then Indian Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. The retreat, Wildflower Hall, is now a luxury hotel run by the Oberoi Hotel Group.)
