Jane, you are absolutely right - it took ages because I suddenly decided to try painting without first drawing in the subject - a worthy aspiration, but harebrained in this case because it took so long with so many flowers, and the flowers wilted in the process, which is why the arrangement looked so messy! This is the second beautiful bouquet I have seen today. (unexpected flowers from my daughter earlier) These are exquisite - so delicate yet bright and cheerful.
