Seok this is a beautiful painting, the greys, pinks and violets blend beautifully to give a calm and sunny atmosphere. Love it!

Lovely, Seok - the textures and colous are great - especially the bits of red and pink are so effective Thank you for your kind comments on my Yorkshire Museum but it would be much bettter in a free style like your painting here. Also your painting of the Manon is superb - I find boats so difficult to paint.

Did you use a palette knife again or is it your energetic brush strokes that give this painting a lovely texture? Really like the colours you've used in this as well.

Thank you very much, Mia, Linda and Val! And yes, Linda and Val, I used the palette knife for this, so it is a departure from my usual brush paintings. To be more precise, I am returning to my roots. When I started with oil painting, I painted with the palette knife. As I progressed, I started using the brush and was painting with the brush for many years. I've recently rediscovered my love for the palette knife, so will probably be continuing with this for the foreseaable future.
