Monoprint using a gelatin plate. It's been a while since I worked on my gelatin plate, and my plate is now ratty, a little mouldy and riddled with little "potholes". Just ideal for cutting up to create designs and patterns. That's a pretty sizeable advantage over the Gelli Plate - the Gelli Plate doesn't deteriorate with time and it's way too expensive to cut up on a whim. It took me a week to come up with some idea of what I wanted to do with my gelatin plate and another week to cut it up. A rather arduous process, but I did learn a lot about what I could do with a dirty, ratty, old gelatin plate!
