An exercise in salvaging a piece of watercolor that had gone south. Used the wrong side of the paper to soak up some leftover watercolor paint on my palette for the background. The bird is rendered with Indian ink, walnut ink, watercolor and gesso. Perhaps an apt subject at this time, for this bird is known for its melodious song resembling laughter. May 2021 be filled with laughter and joy for everyone.
