Great movement surrounding the birds with the laying on of the print. I love the colours too Seok. Now on to the next one...

Love your collage pieces Seok, especially the rich colour of these three inquisitive looking birds!

Super collage of these bright and characterful birds Seok.

Lovely colours and textures in this one Seok. I do like the way the torn print background shows through, you're getting very good at this!

This is really beautiful. I love everything about it - your palette and all those textures.

This is super Seok, very appealing!

You see so many interesting and wonderful things in your garden Seok, I'm quite envious! We only have a couple of squirrels, one or two black birds and blue tits. Must not forget the snails that you sent back to me! This collage is really lovely and I love the deep reds that you have used.

Vibrant and fun Seok. My art club are doing a demo on collage next monday so I'm studying yours and Christine's work closely hoping not to make a fool of myself :)

Lovely work Seok, great colour scheme. Anyone doing collage impresses me, too much like hard work to me.

Really eye-catching Seok, I love this.

Charming - great colours and palette. The birds look really interesting and very sweet all lined up like that!

These two postings are fantastic; the colours and composition are spot on. I really like this development into mixed media. I am not normally a fan of collage, but I stand corrected; it can be done well.

Bold, bright and beautiful, Seok.

just so lovely, wish they would visit me.

Thank you so very much, everyone!

i am not commenting on this picture alone but all of your work . I really like your work its unique to you and its always very attractive it makes me want to try and do some collage . I have never tried it but its in my mind for the future . When the time comes I will be guided by what I have seen of your work . Further regarding your comments on other artists work they are always well thought through and constructive . I thank you for all of your comments on my work .

Thanks very much, Dennis. I'm very encouraged by your very kind comments, and I very much hope to see you working on collage soon!

This is gorgeous Seok, I love the sense of movement you have achieved with the text around the birds too. Have you considered sending this image in for the Artist Magazine's painting competition - Jean Haines' hot reds challenge? Deadline dec 10. I love your mixed media work, you have a lovely portfolio.

Thanks very much, Andrea! I didn't think of participating in the Jean Haines competition as the reds here are closer to burnt sienna, but thanks for the suggestion!

A trio of White-crested Laughing Thrushes perched on our garden wall sometime last year. These birds are native to the Himalayan foothills and Indochina and are not indigenous to Singapore. The population in Singapore probably originated from imported birds that escaped from captivity. (Acrylic Paint, Liquid Acrylics and Collage).
