Barquentine off the Eddystone. by Michael Daley
Acrylic on mdf 16 x 20ins. Once the workhorse of seaborne commerce, very few of these vessels survive today This painting has been on here before I think but has sat on a shelf waiting for me to sharpen it up. All acrylic paintings shrink in value and need perking up before public display or sale. The Eddystone is 14 or so miles south of Plymouth. I have added more light to the sails and clouds and repainted the sea with a knife.
