The Gathering Wave

A great painting Michael drawn from an unusual angle. I love the way you’ve achieved the detail in the foam of the waves and the angles of the rocks.

Gee! the wave and turbulence as viewed from the fine jagged edge of the cliff is profound! The sap green and those fine rippled lines of the surf certainly has created a swell. The sheer height of the encased rock surface looks dynamic!

Superb seascape in every way Michael.

A smasher Michael, that sea is truly wonderful and the colours marvellous

Beautiful details in the surf and rocks and this very different aspect works a treat Michael

Beautiful, love the fresh colours in that wave.

Having made a number of big foam burst paintings, I thought to try my hand at one that depicts the moments before the wave breaks. This is the result showing the beginning of the break with the foreground sea drawing back into the oncoming mass of water. 16 x 12 inches on board
