Fantastic painting, I don't think people realise what work Coastal Command did trying to protect our ships. As you will know it was the poor relation when it came to equipment. Whilst it not a D Day scene, events leading up to it would not of happened if not for the convoys. The Beaufigter is one of my favort aircraft. Sorry to go off course, the colourer if great, everything about it is good

Really great scene and well painted. You managed to capture lots of energy.

Great perspective. Really shows how snuggled in between those engines the pilot was...must have been deafening.

Thank you gentlemen, your enthusiasm for this painting is very encouraging.

A5 acrylic on board. Will appear with numerous other paintings at the Guild of Aviation Artists Exhibition at the Mall in July. All exhibiting artists were asked if they would provide a painting which would be sealed in an envelope and visitors offered the chance to bid (£10) in a sort of blind raffle. Going to be some bargins on the day! This is a Bristol Beaufighter over the Bay of Biscay covering a tug and badly damaged Merchant vessel
