Acrylic on board. 63 x 47cm framed. Selected with three other aviation paintings yesterday for exhibition at the Aviation Painting of the Year in the Mall galleries (9 -15 Jul) It depicts the close co-operation between the air and marine branches of the RAF. The rescued airmen are a US crew who were often bigger and heavier that their RAF conterparts. Take too many on board and the Walrus couldn't get airborne!!
