I'm always drawn to doorways in paintings, what lurks behind? You have caught the old stonework very well here.

A small painting (205 x 305 mm) done from a sketch I made on a trip to Bruges earlier this year. Limited palette of Ultramarine/cad red/ yellow ochre and burnt umber. Time taken 2.5 hrs. Done to rest my eye from stormy seas and an aircraft image that I'm working on for GAvA next year.
