Roses, not red by Sarah Crouch

I love the wild dog roses, you’ve captured them well Sarah.

Pink roses are lovely too, in fact, I’m not keen on red roses. And not just pink, they are wild pink roses, and like Katy, one of my favourite native hedgerow plants. Soft and hard edges, positive and negative painting, all in one painting. It’s been a pleasure to see your paintings Sarah and I love your style, confident and uncomplicated.

Ooh that's nice! Katy and Fiona, thank you very much.

I think St valentine would appreciate your roses rising from a really rich deep green.

Thank you very much Frank - that's a nice thought indeed!

Terrific Work!

Beautiful work, Sarah. Thank you for your lovely comment.

Watercolour of Dog Roses, done in my garden during the first lockdown. As it's Valentine's Day, I wanted to say thanks to all of you for viewing, liking or commenting on my paintings. I have only ever shown my work to a couple of people so it's been a real confidence boost. Equally lovely is to see the range of works by others. Best wishes to you all and thanks again. And sorry for the awful pun in the title.
