Plough tracks, early spring

Really like how you've painted this and the colours used - those furrowed fields are particularly good

An eye catcher Sarah , and well captured. Like it !.

Beautifully done, an ordinary view transformed.

I’m working on similar landscapes myself Sarah, as you know, mine currently snow scapes. A super interpretation of a rural setting, with a great lead into the painting with the addition of those furrows, great inclusion! If it was my painting I would have added another large tree.

Thank you very much Heather, Mike, Willie and Alan. I wasn't too sure about this one so it proves a much long held theory of mine that I am a hopeless judge! I felt it was missing something and I'm very interested that you would add another large tree Alan - where would you put it? It was a real view and am not always mindful of adding things (I take plenty away!) so that's a fascinating idea - thank you very much!

Yes I know it’s a difficult one but think ‘artists license’, I do all the time. Occasionally, well quite often in fact, nature needs a helping hand! I would put it a short distance away from the other tree, but keep it away from the centre of the painting.

Thanks very much for the advice Alan - it's much appreciated. I might be brave and put one in. Will try a few sketches first though!

Fortune favours the brave! Go for it...

Watch this space (though it may take some time)!

Great movement in the furrows - they really lead in the viewer.

I get a strong feeling of movement from this painting, I understand where the others are coming from about the extra tree. But I would stick with the single tree and move it over to the other side, right on the edge, where the curving furrows lead the eye.

Love the way you’ve done this, Sarah.

Thank you so much Chrissie, John and Shirley - I really appreciate your comments. Am going to think long and hard about trees now!

Beautiful plough tracks and lovely colour palette too!

Many thanks Angela!

Sarah you do this kind of landscape so well...furrowed fields, trees, hedges and distant hills....love it as it is.

Thank you very much for your lovely comment Fiona.

Love the palette you've used Sarah -Beautiful

Thank you Rachel - I am glad you like it.
