The colours blend in really well. I like it.

Captures the imagination very well.

Thanks for your encouraging comments Martyn, Ellen, Spencer and Chris - I appreciate them very much! Am still feeling my way tentatively with these abstracts ..

I like it Sarah 😊

Thank you so much Faye and Coral!

Good for you giving this particular style a go Sarah, I occasionally dabble but I find abstract difficult. It’s the imagination, I haven’t got one where painting is concerned. A very harmonious piece, and reminiscent of the blue skies and colours of flowers at this time of year.

Well Fiona, I feel exactly the same about my lack of imagination (do you think being from Derbyshire has something to do with it 🤔) but I fancied a go after a discussion with a friend (long story!) and decided to think about colours and composition and see what happens. Trouble is I have no idea how to judge it, but hopefully learning more will help me improve in other areas. That's the plan anyway ...! thanks for your comment as well, I really do appreciate it .

You could be right about the Derbyshire thing Sarah! 😂 I was under the misconception that abstract art was easy……you just slap it on kind of thing……but it isn’t. I took longer, thinking about and planning it, than the actual painting it. Like everything else, it takes practice I suppose. Good luck!

Well I am making some unholy messes and really don't know what I am doing.. but uts interesting all the same!

Lovely colours and shapes, keep up the good work!

Thanks so much Sandra, very much appreciated!

Another go at a small watercolour abstract, inspired by the season.
