I’m on the edge of Cannock Chase Sarah, and walked and painted it extensively over the years. You’ve captured a part of it so well with your delightful rendition, nice work!

I agree. Sarah you’ve created a wonderful vision of a place I’ve never visited, but would love to after seeing this. I also take my hat off to you for using oil pastels.....I just make a mess with them.

Beautiful, the landscape flows.

Thank you all so much for your comments. I am glad you think I have caught the essence of the Chase Alan - it's a very special place. Fiona, am so glad you get a sense of it too - and yes, using oil pastels does slightly remind me of making a mess of my sister's Girls World doll! Thank you Romila, glad you like it, and thank you Diane, am glad you do too!

Very well painted Sarah. Good use of oil pastels. Which make do you use?

Hello George, thanks for your comment - much appreciated. I use Sennelier oil pastels - I really like them. I use them with oil painting thinner for 'washes' initially, as things seem to get thick and out of control quite quickly!

Really lovely work, Sarah

Thank you very much Thalia!
