Ooh sorry David, we were typing at the same time! Thank you so much!!

Looks great Sarah.

Thanks so much Denise - am glad you like it!

Love the colours and composition, well done 👍

I like this, Sarah. A great first attempt. I like the way you’ve allowed the blue to run into the brown, and is that collage I see. You say you’re not particularly imaginative but you have certainly put your imagination to work here, even thinking of a title…February to March. Keep going, don’t overthink it and let the paint and your imagination run away with you.

I think your idea has translated well.

Thank you so much for the encouragement Stephen, Ellen and Heather. A particular thanks to you Ellen - your work is most inspiring and I have to say I am feeling quite inspired myself!! Am not particularly au fait with acrylics so keeping with my watercolours at present - the 'collage' you spotted is actually an area I had masked off, just with magic tape. I like the idea of collage, just need to get my head around the application processes! I will keep going, I loved not being constrained to whether it looked 'right' or not. Thanks, everyone, again.

Thank you for your comment, Sarah. I’d never thought about my paintings inspiring others! I use PVA glue when I’m attaching collage on paper, but a Matt gel medium when attaching collage to canvas and boards….belt and braces springs to mind.

This is amazing Sarah- I love it. Love the wee dash of yellow top right/ dark on the bottom left. I could look at it for ever Why don’t you write a blog about it? I’d love to do something like this but have no clue where to start!!

Thanks for the advice Ellen, will gave a go at collage. And yes, your work is very inspiring!

Rachel I am delighted that you like this - your work is also inspiring to me! Am very pleased - thank you so much. Am absolutely sure you could do something like this - blimey if I can anyone can!! Will think on about a blog, but I will say this; the subject matter that inspired this is exactly the same as for everything I do. I just started with colours really. I am confident you could do it - you have such a clear vision of the landscape! Thanks again.

Thank you so much Spencer - glad you like it!

Excellent and original! You've nailed the blending here.

Thank you so much Gavin and Coral! Very pleasd you like it.

Very different for you Sarah and I like it a lot!

Thank you very much Diane - I enjoyed it, and am really pleased you like it!

Here is an excellent abstract composition. Have courage! Push the boundaries as you seek to find your own individual artistic voice.

Thank you so much Anthony, that's very encouraging to hear. I will keep going!! Many thanks again.

I have been thinking a lot about abstracts lately and I thought I would have a try. I thought it might help other areas of my painting as I don't see myself as particularly imaginative. So, here is the first attempt. I have no idea what to make if it but I do like the colours, and there was an idea behind it - February into March. It's a very small watercolour.
