I like this, Sarah. A great first attempt. I like the way you’ve allowed the blue to run into the brown, and is that collage I see. You say you’re not particularly imaginative but you have certainly put your imagination to work here, even thinking of a title…February to March. Keep going, don’t overthink it and let the paint and your imagination run away with you.

Am not particularly au fait with acrylics so keeping with my watercolours at present - the 'collage' you spotted is actually an area I had masked off, just with magic tape. I like the idea of collage, just need to get my head around the application processes! I will keep going, I loved not being constrained to whether it looked 'right' or not. Thanks, everyone, again.

Thank you for your comment, Sarah. I’d never thought about my paintings inspiring others! I use PVA glue when I’m attaching collage on paper, but a Matt gel medium when attaching collage to canvas and boards….belt and braces springs to mind.

This is amazing Sarah- I love it. Love the wee dash of yellow top right/ dark on the bottom left. I could look at it for ever Why don’t you write a blog about it? I’d love to do something like this but have no clue where to start!!

Will think on about a blog, but I will say this; the subject matter that inspired this is exactly the same as for everything I do. I just started with colours really. I am confident you could do it - you have such a clear vision of the landscape! Thanks again.
