I have had a browse of her work. Interesting. What is particularly interesting is that her self portraits seem to become more and more distressed in both senses of the word as she got older. As Ros has said, this Portrait of a Girl is beautiful.

This a painting I copied about ten years ago for my mum. The original is by Helene Schjerfbeck, a fantastic Finnish painter. She painted this 1887. Do google her, well worth having a look. I haven't done anything new for a month so I just wanted to post something to keep in touch.
