Aren't iPads great? Looking at pol after a long time and lovely to see you on the front page, Satu. Like the figure, too.

Welcome back Satu, you've reminded me what fun it is to paint on the iPad, it's so long since I did it! Very effective if rather sinister looking figure!

A great way to pass the time Satu. It amazes me what can be achieved with these ipads.

Thank you Sian ( welcome back to POL!), Christine and Fiona for your comments! I've got a busy weekend ahead with our art club's annual exhibition but next week I'll dig up my paints, knives and brushes and start painting again.

No disguising your style and flair Satu even when using an I pad:)

It's been said. This is an excellent composition and suits the effects of an iPad/computer art programme. Very effective and affective.

This is great Satu, I am new to iPad do you have to get an app? sorry to be a bit dim, but I am old!!

Thanks Carole and yes you need an app or two to draw and paint. I have got Brushes, Procreate and ArtRage. I think that I prefer Procreate but they are all good. Of course you have to practice with different programmes but they are fairly easy, if I can do it then anybody can because I'm not a computer wizard at all. Also the apps are not expensive and you can have lot of fun with them.

Thanks Satu, I will look into that.

I have an iPad which I use a lot but I have never tried doing a painting on it. You seem to have cracked it and have produced a very atmospheric painting of this rather enigmatic and somewhat sinister chap. Well done indeed for experimenting and for the result.

Just shows what one can accomplish with good artistic skills, Satu. I love the marks you made and the tonal work is not shoddy either!

Thank you very much Seok!

Just one of the doodles I did yesterday while travelling in the aeroplane back to UK. I had a photo of a young girl in front of me so it gave me an idea to try a person with my iPad, not that this looks anything like a young girl, but it helped to past the time.
