You're like me, I think that you weren't perfectly happy with the other garlics and tried again. What a result, super painting, they've come to life! Now you can sleep tonight without thinking about them :)

Now I am going to throw a spanner in the works and say that I like the first garlic painting best!

Just goes to show doesn't it - I liked the first one but I prefer this one - oops - sounds a bit like an Aldi ad.

This one is better...fight ...LOL

This is so much more exciting Satu, brilliant painting.

I like this one too.

This is wonderful and such a super new take on painting garlic bulbs. Much more exciting than the common or garden garlic that I have got in the fridge!

I like them both, it's hard to decide! I loved the palette in the previous piece, but the textures of this piece are fabulous!

Thank you all so very much for your comments, much appreciated!! Garlic 2 seems to have won, sorry Christine.

Well, it certainly started a debate! They're both great but I still prefer the first one!

Certainly this version. The colours are delicious! And the papery skins are wonderfully textured.... really exciting.

I agree with the above comments, Satu. This certainly is my favourite. Well done.

Thank you Christine, Stephen, Avril and Mia for your kind comments.

I have visitors this week so I am infor quick visit to the gallery. As others have said, I like both, but I prefer this one for it's dynamism and abstract nature. Great stuff.

Not been on for a while so I missed the first version but I find this one really exciting, I just love the way you've depicted the paperlike skin of the garlic bulb.

Thank you so much Gudrun and Val!

Thanks to Roger's comment last night where he suggested that I paint the garlic again, I did exactly what he said, took a big palette knife and let myself free. Thank you Roger!
