good to see an abstract painting like this. Not many people on this site seem willing or able to have a go. Glad you enjoyed it. I have enjoyed looking at it.

Another great abstract painting Satu, I love the texture and composition, I admire your imagination

Crispian hits the nail on the head - so please keep posting Satu - especially if they are up to this great standard

Your Abstracts are an inspiration for me to try my hand Satu , another great painting for your wonderful and diverse gallery.

This is so interesting Satu, does it incorporate collage or is it all paint and texture? We are exploring abstract art at my art group but I am really struggling with it, I am much to precise! Slightly semi abstract is as far as I've got so far. You've inspired me to keep going!

I agree with the above, Satu: this is super. Love the red spot as an eye-catcher amongst the other beautiful colour scheme. Well done!

Super strong abstract Satu! Good use of the fork and credit card. :)

I'm really overwhelmed by your very encouraging comments Crispian, Petra, Michael, William, Christine and Mia! Thank you!!! I thought nobody would like it. Christine, there is no collage, only paint and a tiny bit of fibre gel. The beauty of MDF board is that I can scrape it, push the paint across it, be careless with it and be creative without being afraid of breaking the canvas. Thank you again!

I really like this Satu, and it is plain frm the result that you really did enjoy painting this. I like painting with old plastic credit cards too, and also strips of card. Still haven't tried a palette knife yet though, but seeing your lovely work makes me even more determined to try. Look forward to seeing more!

I'm not a fan of abstracts at all, Satu, but there are exceptions, and your paintings are definitely an exception! There is a lot of depth in your paintings. This is very intriguing - I really like the play of shapes and the limited palette. It works really well.

A painting of strong design, wonderful textures and uses limited colours for an even stronger impact. Great work, Satu.

Thank you so much Julie, Seok and Thea!!

Satu, I really like this but then I like all your work. You always manage to balance your paintings so well. The texture here is wonderful and the red sun stands out beautifully. So pleased you've found new motivation and enjoying yourself!

Another painting on MDF using a BIG palette knife, a fork and an old credit card and a lot of paint. I had a wonderful time doing this, enjoyed every minute.
