You are making the mistake I sometimes do, the green tree on the right is too artificial looking and the tops of the near trees fade out a bit too much but the ideas good. Look at the St Marys Abbey I posted (saturday) trees are a lot darker in the middle. JD

Yep, you are spot on about the evergreen tree on the right. It did look much darker than other evergreen, but I did not have much variety for dark greens in the pencil range at the time.
