Christmas commission of a beautiful bearded Collie. I realised fairly soon on that I need to go pretty heavy with her colouration to avoid her looking too silhouetted against the background. It's a difficult thing when you're painting a white subject in a highly contrasting environment and she's a little whiter than this in reality but I think it works.
