Keep them coming. Another great painting. I feel I'm visiting and that if I ever get there I'll know it.

Lovely watercolour with pale and sunny washes. Love the scooters which add a touch of authenticity to the painting. P.S. Thank you so much for looking at my gallery and adding such nice comments - much appreciated. I am actually working on a pen and wash at the moment!

Hi Riaz, super painting, great colours and another gem from you, and thanks so much for your super comment on my happy dog pastel portrait, yes you are pretty much right I am very much at home with pastels these days !

Helen Jones; No I have been taking pictures for quite a long time with the intention that maybe one day I'll use them for my paintings. I am a building contractor and have never been able to save a few spare times for paintings. This have last for almost 18 years. just recently(6 months back) I have been able to save a few spare times, so I re-started to hold the brush again. I use pictures for my paintings. But I do have the intention to work at the scene, now that I have grown in confidence. Do you work with pictures too Helen or you keep it at the scene?

Thank You all above! I'm glad you like my paintings. Dawn, all the paintings I've posted are well known places and quite easily recognizable. if one day You visit Mauritius You will most certainly have to visit at least half of the places on the paintings. Also I need to tell you that I've tried to keep the colour on all my paintings as true and closer to what I had on my picture.

Near the Market on a Saturday afternoon. It's always crowded and a good opportunity for the seller to have his delicacies sold. What struck me was this old building built perhaps in the 18's and which still stand the time. Best of all it's surrounded by new and recent buildings which is much of a contrast. Surely it won't be there for long..not anymore. water colour on paper. Comments and critics are welcome.
