Thanks again Dawn! I'm glad you like my paintings. I must say I restarted to hold the brush just very shortly and that, after an absence of more than 18 years. I really missed that during the years I did not find time to paint! But now that I'm back with painting I really feel like I'm in the mood for keeping at it.

I gather you don't like the foreground boat! The way you've painted it, though, it still has a charm of its own, epitomized by the raking bow, a feature I rather like in boats. And you should most certainly keep at it - you have a very delicate touch with the brush combined with a confidence in your line.

Thank you very much Robert Jones, for your lovely comments. In fact I tried to paint the foreground boat as much as I could stick to it's real details and colors. It was all rusty and looked as if it had not gone through a servicing for years. Much in contrast to those at the back!

It works beautifully Riaz, you capture so much detail they are a joy to see

Thanks again Ros. I had a few visitors to my exhibition who said they love the details too. So I think I should stick to that way of painting. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and for visiting my gallery.

There is so much contrast between the boats at the back and the one in front. The title says much about them I believe. Water colour on paper. Comments are welcome.
