Thank You a lot Gudrun ! These trees flower during the summer and reach their peak in december and this picture was taken in January and as you have noticed they have already been falling down.

This painting shows a very well known beach in the north of Mauritius; the "Choisy Beach" and the picture was taken at the beginning of January, vacation time was almost over and we were heading back home from a short camping holiday. That's our stuffs on the lorry. It was pretty interesting with all sorts of vehicles and lorries packed and sometimes overloaded. Both sides of the road was filled with "flamboyants" trees with their famous red flower. I really loved the atmosphere that day and I hope I could make you feel it through this painting. Size of artwork is 20.5 X 38 cm on paper. Sold artwork. Comments are welcome.
