I'm glad You liked it Roberta Blackler. You've got to come to Mauritius one day. You get blue lagoon with white sand and blue sky for most of the year. I must say that being an artist and living here, it's like a heaven...you always have a lot of nice subject to paint!

Really lovely natural painting. My dad was in Mauritius for many months and said it was the loveliest place he had ever visited.

And I am very lucky to be living in such a place like Mauritius! Thank You for your comments Diana Hudson. Have Your Dad seen the picture yet? I'm sure he will like it!

This is the painting which was chosen to figure on all banners, posters and other printing medias, for my 1st solo exhibition, which was held last June. Painting shows a bus stop shelter which was built using natural materials like colored rocks, wood, and it has the particularity that it has been built right on the beach with the sea washing its feet at high tide. It was a challenge for me to get the texture and the colors of the rocks right. Mauritius being an island we are surrounded by sea, and that day the sky was blue, which made the sea look even more beautiful. I've tried to keep the colors as lively and natural to what I had on my picture. Size of work is 23 X 38.5 cm, on paper. Sold artwork. Comments are welcome.
