Keep stumbling ... you&#39;ve got the perspective right, which very many don&#39;t and that gives you a solid foundation on which to build. There are things wrong with this, as of course you know - greens too similar, mountains lacking a sense of distance, foreground tree on the right having no tonal identity so it sort of lurks there in a ghostly fashion (it needs tonal contrast if it&#39;s to stand out, and you&#39;d probably have done better to open up the composition much more rather than trying to crowd too much in). But you&#39;ve made a start, you&#39;ve got something to work with, and that means that you&#39;ll progress from here. <br /><br />Work from life if you can - I think you&#39;ve used a photo here, and they flatten out the colours and tonal values. If, like me, you find it hard to get out into the open, make a sketch from the photo and decide where your light is coming from: once you&#39;ve decided on that, life gets so much easier.
