Hee Haw. Sorry, couldn't resist it. He is a handsome chap and so glad he is on of the lucky ones.

Funny..(hee hee haw haw) that you have just posted this on the gallery, I pass a couple of donkeys on a regular basis. Only this morning I was contemplating going to sit and paint them....all that grey paint!!! This chaps wide eyed expression is just great, Love the ears as well....something about donkeys................................

Silly Sylvia...sorry Mule.

Just delightful...what a wonderful expression.I hope this mule enjoys a long and happy life now.

Brilliant, Ruth. I have noticed a new confidence in your work of late and this one is beautifully executed. Great composition and wonderful expression on the donkey's face. I just hope the people who own him are kind to him. So many donkeys abroad are badly treated.

love the expression on his face Ruth, thanks for your comments on my art and glad to help although I do not think you need much ,wonderfull gallery.

A beautiful, moving painting. The colours and texture are wonderful.

Those ears! Love it!

Ah, the things we do to animals.... Hope this one is safe now; very well drawn - love those ears.

I love his ears, so well done Ruth. Lovely to hear about such organizations and their caring.

i love the way he gazes at you..............lovely

Lovely eyes and twitchy ears as they do, like horses, when they are listening, he looks like he has a nice normal not mutilated, nose, great fur on him

Coloured pencils....A4 approx velour paper. One of the mules nursed to health by the Brooke Horse Hospital in Tunisia. Ignorance moves their owners to perform 'Nostril slitting' in the uneducated belief that this will help the animal's breathing. The Brooke charity works tirelessly to re-educate owners such as these.
