And where have you been lately? Good to see you back, with what is indeed a fun painting. Love the lady's feet - your own....?

Is this watercolour, acrylic, gouache? It could be any of them: I'd guess ..... hmm. Acrylic?

Ahhh there you are Ruth. Like Robert says, good to see you back! This is enchanting with the blocks of colour.

What a lovely Summer fun painting!

Such fun! as Miranda's mother would say.

Lovley colours.

Welcome back Ruth and it's a joy to see one of your quirky paintings on the gallery again.

Thank you all so much for your welcomes, it's good to be back and finding my way around this super new gallery (new to me, anyway.) It has some unfamiliar twists and turns which I am finding rather challenging, but the graphics are exellent (Is that the right term? I refer to the picture reproduction quality.)
i HAVE been accused, with my old lady pictures, of "self-portrait - ing," Robert, and I love your comment. They could well be mine own feet, certainly mine olde rheumy knees! Hoping to post some more soon. It is acrylic 10 out of 10 for guessing correctly. I wouldn't achieve the same effect with the black lining technique if it was watercolour. Then it would be more like a pen and wash. I have painted on and off during my absence but haven't exhibited for the past 14 months or so as mobility is a problem. Doing lots of blanket square knitting also, for a S African orphanage support site , they are desperate for warmth and help and it is helping to rebuild my confidence as well, so it's mutual. Still have much of the site to explore, the Forum seems to have suffered a sea-change in its presentation, and I had trouble posting until Dawn suggested I try posting from my desk top, and that worked right away. Seem to be going on at great length here, i should perhaps be blogging! (Heaven help you all if I do!)

Good to see you back Ruth. I always loved your quirky paintings, and this one is a super one. Good luck with the wonky knees.......I know what they're like.

You, and your fun paintings have been missed Ruth, lovely to see you back posting. This is a smasher, look forward to seeing lots more.

Thank you Ann and Fiona. good to be back.

Wonderful to see you posting again, Ruth! This is just lovely - such an uplifting palette, full of joie de vivre.

Thank you, Seok, very much appreciated.

A really jolly painting. I love it.

Hello, Ruth! How are you? Julia does give me updates when I see her, but have missed your jolly and happy contributions to the gallery. So pleased to see one of yours pop up on my screen again. Do take care and keep painting! Best wishes, Thea xx

Thank you, Thea, Lovely of you to comment. yes I do pop up from time to time, rather unpredictably I'm afraid. It is so nice to be back on the gallery, and hear from friends again. I am well, thank you, and hope that you are. As you say, Julia keeps us both posted from time to time. I do wonder where that same "Time" flies to, though. Glad you like my little old lady enjoying sun, sand and seashells with her non-Cruft style pals!

Thank you FM McAdam, your comment is very much appreciated. Ruth

Lovely and fun....x
