I agree with Michael Ruth, it's a lovely peaceful painting, I wonder if that's what you remember about the spot? I think your graduated washes are supberb!

Ruth, you use your paintbrush so confidently and also just let the paint flow and describe the scene. Your paintings are always inventive in style and often surprise me as each one if so different from the one before. I expect you just react to what you are painting and that is the style in which you paint it. Best way I believe. Well done - will wait to see it in the flesh when we meet up.

Hello Thea and thank you for your remarks. I often am surprised myself by what happens when I paint, and that is the joy of watercolour, isn't it, the unpredictability. Some paintings seem to paint themselves. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
