Thanks for the nice comments. My uncle farmed the land in the mid distance and another relative had the farm where the estuary narrows. I have to agree with lord Birkett.

Beautifully painted. This must have taken a long time with all the details.

Oil on board. 54 x 104cm. This is a view from the top of Kirby moor. The tide in the Duddon is out leaving lots of channels. Millom is in the distance. Lord justice Birkett said this was the best view in England
