Biography

Hello! I'm a creative artist, writer and amateur musician originally from Amber Valley, Derbyshire. I've been painting all my life on and off, coming from a long family heritage of artists and musicians. I now live in a village in the Trent Valley area and am finding new inspiration in my new home. I'm basically self taught apart from occasional workshops. I work in a variety of media (but not traditional oils so far) and I'm interested in the interplay between various aspects of all the creative arts. I've also written and published a couple of novels. My inspiration comes from the beauty of the natural universe in all its diversity. Now I'm retired and have my own dedicated studio I really enjoy being able to devote more time to art and I'm looking forward to learning from and sharing with other artists through this portal. I hope you find some inspiration and pleasure in my gallery.
