My daughter took a lovely photo of her quaint neo-Gothic home after the first snowfall of the season and I couldn't resist turning it into a painting - maybe next year's Christmas card? In order to achieve the warm glow of the lights contrasting with the delicate snowy trees I had to use mixed media, mainly watercolour pencils with some inks for the twigs and the snowy highlights.
