This would make a lovely Christmas card, really like the effect you have got in the sky full of snow.

Thank you Debs. At first I thought I might have dropped the salt on while the sky was still too wet, but decided to let it go and see what happened. I have another half finished version which I'm going to splatter with white gouche and see how that turns out.

I agree with Debs that this would be a superb Christmas card. I was wondering how you had got the effect of the snow in the sky - I love how that has turned out - much more exciting than little round snowflakes! This painting has a lovely cosy feel to it - there is something lovely about snow outside and the warm glow of a light from a window and trudging home for a nice cup of tea. Good plan to invent the dog - dog walkers are mad enough to turn out in all weathers so that their furry friends can have their walkies - I know all about that! You have created a lovely atmosphere in this painting - one to be proud of.

I agree with Debs and Thea, Lovely watercolour Rosalind

I sketched and painted this terrace of cottages on a summer morning, but then decided to change the season using the existing framework. I changed the foliage, added a tree and invented a canine resident. On Arches paper, using Sennelier and W&N watercolour.
