Rosalind I'm really taken by this; the forms, the lines, the textures. I'm always interested in the process: was the original sketch in pen or something else? I too love using pen ink, fine-liners. Have you looked at Ian Sidaway's Blogs of fine-line drawings? this is 5 star!

Thank you James. I did the drawing in pencil first, then inked it and then rubbed out the pencil marks. This is especially useful when drawing the trunks of the trees, so that I had a line to start and stop at. an HB or 2B pencil does it for me, anything softer gets blurred by the heel of my hand. Pencil prep. also helps to get all the perspective right before using the fine liner - I like Faber Castell' s Pitt artist pen in super-fine. I haven't seen Ian Sidaway's blogs but will check out today - thank you!

Super drawing. Your drawings come over at completely believable and real and this one is no exception. Really well done.
