Fabulous painting Roger, I stayed there recently ( the hotel I stayed in is visible in your picture!!), your attention to detail is amazing, superb work.

Since the largest major city that is closest to where I live is Birmingham, I thought that it was about time that I made the effort to create a painting that reflects some of the new and old features that make up the growing heart of the city. 'Gas Street Basin, Birmingham In Autumn' is my first effort. No doubt there will be others to follow. This is an oil painting on 20" x 16" Winsor & Newton canvas. The work is based upon my own reference photographs.
