Known and much used during the Elizabethan era for Tempering the Passions and restoring good humours...I'm not sure about that having had an unfortunate experience with one which rendered me speechless. Partner very pleased! Personally the humour escaped me. Oil on canvas and painted from life, as always. 40x30cm
