Superb line work, Roger. Interesting question: now I'm thinking when was my first drawing? I'm 65 but can still remember drawing buses when I was 3, but don't have the now! My grand daughter of 2yr 6months is drawing, faces are emerging in her work. perhaps I should encourage her parents to keep them?

I have no idea about the standards for studying for being accepted to study art! My first real drawing that I thought was good was a boot. I didn't carry on to to O level/grade.. I'll see if U can dig it out and photograph it.

All art works become history and mark moments in time. Some replace diaries or journals, others remind us of a particular day or event, record an occasion. I was accepted into art school on the basis of a couple of drawings, in fact, my first attempts at any drawing. Please tell me that standards have risen! I'd be interested to see the earliest art work that any of you have kept. Biro on paper.
