You don't sound as if you like doing these pomegranates, but your painting of them is very nice! I hope the lost images/passwords have been found.

Apologies to those who commented on this last time...this is just the start of a long upload of lost images. These are my first attempts at still lifes for...possibly ever!. I find it difficult to respond to the genre, something to do with the lack of any personal attachment with a bit of fruit or the odd spud and its relatives. This little project was approached thus...four paintings in eight days and after that...no more! The only way to get through it without reaching for a sharp knife and chopping board was to dispense with the clutter of disparate and unrelated objects that is 'Still Life Painting, highlight their strengths, brush aside the defects, or lie about them and concentrate on the fruit as individuals with variable characteristics, look on them as temporary friends, because once they have been painted...THEY AIN'T NEVER COMING BACK!
