wonderful story Roger must have given you a great deal of pleasure to do this and so very well done

Wonderful story and a super painting which has a real presence about it.

Beautiful story and a beautiful memory Roger, which gives this painting special significance.

Very beautiful. I love the texture created throughout , the textile motif is superb and of course I love the story behind it.

I love this - the composition is great and I really like the textures as well :-)

Very many Thank You's for particularly kind comments and much appreciated. I recently revisited it as it's for sale, as a 'prospective buyer.' The interior character of the original Victorian terrace that we knew has been totally destroyed. Now it's grubby and stale. What else should one expect?

Son 3 Kim at 6ft 4, now towers above his older brothers. On the day of his impending birth, I was teaching at school 2 minutes from home. 2.15 and bell rings for afternoon break...phone call to school saying that he was due..quick sprint across the playground, over the fence and home in time to see his arrival and the smallest of the boys...15 mins later and rapid dash back to school ...bell sounds the end of break...perfect timing...thank you Kim! The house still remains, and so does the memory. Years later I added the drape, revisited the house to draw it and painted it as part of the background. Oil on canvas 51cmx38 Better viewed large.
