A moody and atmospheric painting, Roger! It does look a bit stormy, but still beautiful!

This is extremely accurate in both mood and atmosphere. Your palette is spot on. It’s always wild along this part of Northumberland’s coast, apart from the odd appearance of the sun in the summer. Feel as if I’m right there smelling the smoked kippers.

Thank you, Chandra and Carole. I took some liberties with the accuracy of, for example, the harbour but I'm pleased with the overall atmosphere. Glad you think it feels like Craster, Carole.

16" x 20" oils on canvas. I've thought for a long time about painting from a photograph I took looking southwards to Craster. Today was the day. The original plan was a very limited palette, very little detail and the impression of a wild day. I've used more colour than I thought I would but I'm pleased with the result. I might do another; greyer and stormier. I'd be pleased to read what you think.
