We were out walking here a few weeks back. You have done a lovely job of this. Personally I like the middle distance trees as they are.

Love the composition of your painting Roger, especially the gateway. The openness of the field gives a lovely feeling of space in the landscape.

16" x 20" oil on canvas, painted from a plein-air pastel. I have already had some welcome feedback from a POL friend. When this dries, I will scumble a little grey over the middle-distance trees and some of the Scots pines on the skyline to make them recede. Thanks, you know who you are.
