Leave it as it is or you’ll ruin it! This is terrific. The light on the foreground gives depth, the glow of sunlight on the wide beaches gives even more of this and with with the nearer hills beyond the bay it sets the hazy Harris mountains even further back - and the sky is a triumph. Wish I could see the original.

Wow, thank you, Frank. I think I will leave it. It's a dull day in Sunderland today so the flash on my camera kicked in. There's a nice bit of light which has appeared over at Sgarasta Bheag for which I can't take credit.

It’s interesting that you see it as incomplete. There is enough detail in the foreground, beautiful aerial perspective , nice combination of hard and soft lines ,focal point with the spot of light on the far of the water. I think it’s beautiful

This painting really has panache Roger. Love the stretch of water , the distant background and the lively, beautifully painted foreground with those subtle spots of colour. Don’t change anything.

Thank you all. I'll definitely leave it.

16" x 20 " oil on canvas. I've just painted the (almost) final touches. I was at risk of "fiddling." Any suggestions as to how to add a final flourish gratefully accepted.
