9" x 12" oil pastel. I have had a few boxes of oil pastels for years; one tin for decades, and have hardly ever used them. I was inspired by Ben Hope's article and particularly the two landscapes depicted in the October issue of The Artist to try them out. I stuck with a familiar subject which I'd done recently in oils to see how the pastel version compared.
