Thank you for all the comments this afternoon. I'd added the gulls before I read them. Bearing in mind Carole's and Chrissie's comments, I've added the distant breakers, some highlights on the sea and some more light on the foreground beach. I think I must stop fiddling now; I'm at risk of changing the style of the painting. This online crit. group is really helpful.
