Was this at Llanwern? All part of the staged throttling of Britain's industrial base. Never mind: we can trust the investment bankers to look after us..............

Excellent painting. Great contrasts, super subject.

This is great. We have lost so much industry. So sad. We were once a nation of engineers. This is a great homage to industrial Great Britain. It is like the works of Joseph Wright of Derby, who I much admire.

Brilliant painting, lots of atmosphere.

Full of atmosphere Robert, you really captured the working environment in this particular part of the steelworks, super work

Thank you all very much for your kind comments, the steelworks was actually "Round Oak steelworks" at Brierly Hill Westmidlands, I worked there for several years before it closed, but generations of some families worked there before the Politicians decided to close it and ship the modern plant off to India. Merry Hill shopping centre now stands on the site.
