Keep using your artistic licence I say! Another lovely picture

Yes, you have used some artistic licence (I know this place) but it's all the better for it! And hey, that's what art is all about, otherwise we'd all just be photographers. I like your other pics too.

Hi Lynda thanks for your kind words

Coming from Northumberland this is a place I am very familiar with but I have to say Ive never seen it painted in such a way. I really really like this, just shows artistic licence works.

this is beautiful.......

Hi Rob, I love the watery looseness of this and the strong darks. Thanks for your comments re my pictures. Regards Alan

Lovely painting Rob, very atmospheric.

i like the subdued tones in this one

Wonderful colours and light.

Timeless breathtaking quality. Magnificent!

What a lovely loose style you have Rob and a beautiful limited palette. I would be very interested in knowing how large this painting is because you have conveyed a huge expanse of sky and distance very well. I love the back lighting, gives wonderful atmosphere to the scene

The Causeway, leading to Holy Island this picture shows the refuge tower (that’s where you go when your car gets stuck) with the rising tide. I’ve used a bit of artistic licence with this painting and I’m sure you’ll let me know.
