The horses are very well painted Stephen, and your handling of the different greens in the rest of the painting is excellent. I'd be interested in your approach to greens with watercolour...to see how others approach this often tricky colour in a landscape...the Paul Talbot-Greaves article in the latest Artist issue on greens was interesting.

Beautiful horses. You obviously took great care to get them so anatomically correct, they remind me of Irish draught horses often used by Romanies, but equally good, in the past, as show jumpers if crossed with a lighter horse.
