"Seascape"

I like the balance of colour, the illusion of mist and the strength of the focal point. Although very busy in sky..or is it sea pounding on cliffs the whole effect appeals to me

Yes, those are cliffs in the background; this is a contrived image but it does draw heavily on a beach not far from here (NSW, Aust), where the water gets deep very quickly, or shallow very quickly depending on how you look at it, so the waves build and break close to the shore. I think there is a certain tension in that - especially if you're swimming in it! - and it does make for a high energy zone 'twixt land and sea.
